I have been a fan of wrestling since the days of Sunday shows out of an indipendant station from Indianapolis, Indiana. The shows were taped at local National Guard Amories. My two oldest children belong to a local wrestling club. My oldest can perform most of the guys' wrestling moves. My daughters both love the Undertaker and R-Truth. My son likes just about all of the wrestlers.

Indiana? National Guard Armories?

Sounds like a fellow (former, in my case) Hoosier raised on Dick The Bruiser!

Welcome!

That's right, good ole Dick the Bruiser! My grandfather would watch wrestling and Sammy Terry out of Indianapolis on WTTV4.

Ahh great another old school fan that got to live the dream. Watch while I commit suicide with envy.

Why couldn't me mother have just sailed over to the land of the free and popped me out near a National Guard Amory?

Sammy Terry

Is he still alive? That guy was my hero as a little kid, although his laugh scared the s**t out of me if someone was watching him while I was trying to sleep in the next room.

My best friend (also from IN) lives in L.A. now and he found a guy out there in the classifieds doing Sammy Terry's shtick at birthday parties and stuff. My buddy called him and found out that Sammy gave him his blessing to carry on the persona.

P.S. (Apologies to non-Indiana people on the board. You will have no idea as to what the hell we are talking about.) laugh.gif

Sorry, but I think that he passed away several years ago, along with Cowboy Bob (another WTTV4 alumni).

I am looking for ideas to help my daughter with wrestling. She is both the only peewee and the only girl is the wrestling club. The boys won't wrestle with her. I do know that across town is another wrestling club with several girls (thie total youth number is around 90, while the one my kids go to has about 20). She is 41" tall and 37#. If she takes a deep breath you can see her ribs. She is a picky eater.
