Although the Wrestling/Gladiators crossover is much more noticeable on the American show the return of UK Gladiators last night showed it's own wrestling crossover.
Oblivion - real name Nicholas Aldis has been a professional wrestler since the age of 16, performing for All Star Wrestling here in the UK. He was one of 60 athletes selected from around the world to train at the pro wrestling NOAH camp in the US and has wrestled all over the world. He is currently the youngest Gladiator at just 21 years of age.
The original series back in the 90's also gave birth to several Indy wrestlers who had lack luster careers in the likes of Ace, Shadow and Warrior (not to be confused with Ultimate Warrior).
Lets hope this new series does better than Celebrity Wrestling did (which Hogan is currently ripping off in the US).
